May Operation Notes

In the first Quarter of 2024, United Ethanol took in and ground nearly 5.2 million corn bushels to produce our products. This includes over 15 million gallons of ethanol, just under 35,000 tons of dried distillers grains, and over 4 million pounds of corn oil. We had steady operations during our first quarter this year. In January, we had an extremely cold stretch, working through freezing temperatures and natural gas curtailments. Overall, we had around three days of production slippage, which was normal for our plant.

Our team wrapped up our Spring 2024 maintenance outage at the end of April. We performed numerous repairs and cleaning, and we upgraded plant areas that needed attention. Overall, the shutdown was successful, and we safely completed all tasks with our staff and our support contractors and services.

As we move into the next quarter, we anticipate a continuation of our consistent operations. We have been proactive in providing continual educational programs to enhance our operator’s performance. Our emphasis on teamwork and safe plant operations remains steadfast. With our plant operating on a 6-month maintenance cycle, we are already planning for the next shutdown in Fall 2024. We are fortunate to have a committed team and the support of our partners, such as United Cooperative, as we continue to steer our company towards a successful future.

We hope for safe plantings this year!
